Induction
To ensure you get off on the right foot, we run a two day Induction in London for all trainee solicitors before the Training Contract begins.
This provides a general overview of the Firm, an opportunity to meet key people and fellow trainee solicitors from other locations and provides basic preparation for the training programme. On joining your local office you'll continue your induction with your Location Training Partner, Supervisor and Location Manager, who will provide training on IT systems, the use of the Intranet and office manual, working methods, library resources and office procedures.
They'll give you full briefings on your seat and generally help you settle in. You'll also be provided with information to help you prepare for your first seat, such as:
- the department nationally and locally
- the type of work carried out
- key clients and the principal legal issues and areas involved
- a summary of what you'll learn from the seat and what we'll be expecting of you
