"I joined the firm in 1984. It was my first 'proper' job after leaving school - I'd also applied for a position at another law firm and was offered both, but I found the people at Beachcroft especially friendly and helpful.
"Having started as an office junior I've progressed to the point where I now work for the Regional Senior Partner in the Leeds office. I had my 20 years anniversary lunch in November 2004, which was a very special occasion for me. It's good to know you're efforts are recognised and appreciated.
"There's always a wide variety of work. Recently I've been involved with the organisation of seminars for my department, which has included sending letters to delegates and doing slides for presentations, as well as monitoring delegate bookings.
"Because we have dedicated IT trainers here, I've always been able to keep my IT skills up to date and I've done courses in everything from Outlook and Excel to our case management and finance systems, Solcase and Elite.
"I also feel fortunate that I was able to work part-time when my children were very young, and then return to full-time work when they started school. Now I finish work at five every day and I'm home by six to spend the evening with my family - so the work-life balance is just right."
