b) Technical skills

We run a national departmental technical training programme which all partners and fee earning staff (including trainees) attend, ensuring the whole firm keeps abreast of the latest industry skills and trends.

Refresher and consolidation technical sessions also take place for trainees in each location. They are designed to remind you of the basics you acquired at university and law school, and to help you stay on top of your studies.

Presented by senior solicitors and partners, the sessions extend your knowledge, whilst relating legal theory to 'real world' practice.

c) IT Skills

We're a modern firm and make full use of computerised office and casework systems.

Our trainees use an Intranet based system to keep a record of their training.

You'll receive regular training from our IT Training team and locally based coaches.

d) On the Job Training

The formal course programme underpins the most effective training you'll get - working alongside nationally respected lawyers on high quality commercial case work.

In each seat you'll be part of a close-knit team, with a personal supervisor who'll set you tasks, check over your work and tell you how you're doing.

Naturally your responsibility and role will develop in line with your skills, so there's every incentive to learn.

e) Beachcroft Academy

We've developed the Beachcroft Academy to ensure a co-ordinated and consistent approach to legal training firm wide, which ultimately helps improve the quality of the services our lawyers deliver to clients.

The Academy's training doesn't end once you've completed your training contract, but continues for everyone up to three years' post qualification experience (pqe).

The Academy aims to establish a foundation for all our lawyers to acquire both the requisite level of legal knowledge (in their chosen practice area) and the skills you need to become a self sufficient and effective lawyer at Beachcroft throughout the early stages of your career.
